    22 de January, 2021

Although Iguazu Falls are the main attraction, there is much more to be done in the city that bears the same name in the province of Misiones. This is how we can offer you the 4 best travel itineraries to Iguazu that combine the most sought after activities in the area, including transportations, accommodation, excursions and even food. Enjoy safely from experts!

ITINERARY 1, IGUAZU FALLS BY PLANE

This itinerary is ideal for those who have a few days and want to concentrate on the Iguazu Falls which, as we mentioned at the beginning, are the most important attraction of this Argentine corner.

In addition to the excursion to the fascinating natural monument, the itinerary includes: air ticket for the flight from your place of origin to Iguazu. Once in the city, you are given the transportation to the hotel which is also included and, it should be noted, is located about 20 kilometers away from the National Park.

However, you also have the option to stay in Foz. In this case, you only have to consult our travel specialists , 100% willing to adapt the itinerary to your needs or tastes. In fact, you can take a look at the top 10 best hotels in Iguazu

The day after arrival, our guide will pick you up at the hotel to make the visit to the Brazilian Falls, where you will spend all morning touring the National Park and will have the best possible views of one of the seven wonders of the world. The activity ends at noon, so travelers have the afternoon off to do whatever they want.

After the second night at the hotel, the 2nd day of excursion takes place, also to the Falls but this time on the Argentine side. In that case, the activity lasts all day. Indeed, the proximity to the waterfalls allows you to take a bath in the place.

In addition, during the tour of the Iguazu National Park –Argentine area– the guide provides the possibility to do “La Gran Aventura”, a very fun navigation during which you travel the river and also make some jumps. At the end of the activity, the guide will accompany you to the hotel to spend the last night in Iguazu.

The next day, after checking out at the hotel, our transportation will take you to the airport to undertake a return to your place of origin. Optionally, you can add some nights or add the tour of Ruinas de San Ignacio in conjunction with the Wanda Mines; widely recommended.

ITINERARY 2, IGUAZU FALLS BY BUS

The itinerary is similar to that of the plane, but a little longer: the trip lasts a total of seven days between round trips of which four nights are spent in Iguazu. Visits to the Falls are made in the same way, one day on the Brazilian side and another on the Argentine side, including the same transportations. However, there is a substantial difference and is that the bus itinerary includes the full-day visit to the Ruins of San Ignacio and the Wanda Mines , of which you can know more details by clicking on this link.

But, that’s not all. If you choose this option you will also have the possibility to visit the Triple Frontier Milestone, which is not the case with the alternative by plane unless you hire it partly as one of the optional ones. Don’t worry, there are more options! Let’s check the remaining two best travel itineraries to travel to Iguazu.

ITINERARY 3, IGUAZU FALLS AND JESUIT MISSIONS

This itinerary works the same as the first alternative at the transportation level. Once you come up to Puerto Iguazu, you will have a 3-nights’ accommodation, including visits to the Iguazu Falls on both sides. The difference in the #1 is that more time is available, allowing a combination with the historical and cultural legacy of the Jesuit Missions.

Indeed, instead of being taken to the airport –to return to your place of origin– after the last visit to the Falls, a tour (with our guide) begins to Posadas, the capital of the province of Misiones. In this city, we will spend four more nights.

On the day of arrival, you will have the afternoon off to tour the historic center of Posadas. Then, next day begins with the visit to the popular sites of Posadas. The first day is the tour to the Ruins of San Ignacio Miní, Loreto, Santa Ana and Santa Maria Maggiore

The following day yo go on an excursion to the Jesuit Missions of Trinidad del Paraná and Jesus of Tavarangue on one side. Lastly, to wrap up the itinerary, you will visit the Jesuit Missions of Brazil San Miguel and Santo Angelo. After the last night, our shuttle will escort you to the bus terminal or airport so you can return home.

IGUAZU, SAN IGNACIO, SALTOS DE MOCONÁ, POSADAS Y ESTEROS DEL IBERÁ

This option is perfect for those who have 10 nights available, being the most complete to know the Littoral. It is quite similar to the previous one with some modifications: the three nights in Iguazu are the same and, although in Posadas you spend four nights, the variation here is on excursions.

Though you visit the Jesuit Missions of Argentina and Paraguay, the third day is dedicated to the excursion of the Saltos de Moconá , spectacular waterfalls surprisingly unpopular among tourists but super interesting and beautiful still.

But in addition to including these wonderful jumps, this itinerary offers the possibility to know other of the most interesting sites in Argentina: The Esteros del Iberá. Which means that, after the fourth night in Posada, the journey continues to Colonia Carlos Pellegrini, where we stay three nights to tour this destination.

The first excursion in Esteros consists of a boat ride through the Iberá lago on, with lunch included. That same afternoon there is a trekking guided by the jungle in gallery, for the sighting of carayá monkeys, corzuelas and carpenters.

For the last day of the trip, morning and afternoon activities are planned, starting with the visit to Iberá National Park and culminating in the exciting kayak ride along the edge of the Iberá lagoon, always accompanied by a guide. After the last night of the trip, travelers are transferred to Posadas Airport to make their return to their homes.

Here are the 4 best itineraries to travel to Iguazu. Don’t forget that they all include airfare (itinerary 2 is made by bus), arrival and departure transportation, accommodation with breakfast and, in the case of visiting the Esteros del Iberá, full board is offered. The excursions mentioned are included, excepting the Great Adventure that, as not everyone can or want to do, you must coordinate with the guide or with our travel specialists that can arrange it from now on for you.
