But, how to get to Bariloche by land, what route to take? To travel to Bariloche by car you have two alternatives. Departing from Buenos Aires:
- From the West Access to Luján: taking the national route #5 that leads to Santa Rosa. Then, you continue along the route #35 and, after 85 km you can splice with the route #152. Once traveled 46 km from General Acha, it connects with the provincial #20 where you have to drive with great caution; it’s “The Desert Route”. Before Catriel, it’s time to take the #151 that leads to Neuquén. Subsequently, the route #237 (route 40) to Bariloche.
From the Richieri Motorway and the Southern Highway to Cañuelas: taking the #3 route that leads to Bahía Blanca, where you will continue the route #22 to Neuquén, to connect with the #237 route to Bariloche. This option is longer, but less lonely.

TRAVEL TO BARILOCHE BY AIR
Believe it or not, car trips to San Carlos de Bariloche are more common. However, the fastest, shortest and most comfortable track is the airway, through the plane. The city has Bariloche International Airport, which means you’ll get straight there.
