Perito Moreno Glacier you’ll love it!

Perito Moreno Glacier, “The Eighth Wonder of the World”. This majestic place is an imposing mass of ice that gives us one of the best views of the Patagonia Argentina.

    14 de December, 2020

The Perito Moreno Glacier is the most important attraction of Los Glaciares National Park, the only one that can be observed from the ground. The route to the place offers different panoramas to the end point, the highest level of Las Pasarelas, where you can see its entire expanse -the immense north wall of the glacier– and, in addition, you can witness the internal ruptures that makes seem that gigantic mass of ice come to life.

The sound that produces the movement of the glacier, when it comes off the plinth of ablation and falls into the channel of the icebergs, is thunderous and surprising. A natural spectacle that you can enjoy just 300 or 400 meters and that, sure, it will invite you to want to know much more about this World Heritage Site (as declared by UNESCO in 1981).

We recommend taking excursions with specialized local guides to provide you with up-to-date information. They will clarify all those questions that may arise in the middle of the journey such as: the level of depth of the marks that the glacier itself leaves on the stones and, of course, you can observe. Get to know the dates when the landslides occur in the three most important events in El Calafate

In Las Pasarelas you will also find information about the glacial processes and the Perito Moreno Glacier in particular, having the opportunity to expand your adventure with the execution of hikes and other activities that will give you a more real dimension of the glacier. It’s an endless mass of ice, 60 meters high, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and lush forests that you can explore through the best excursions in the Perito Moreno Glacier.
